Tamizh padam telugu version releases

The Telugu remake of the spoof-hit Thamizh Padam, titled Sudigadu, is all set to release today all over. Even in Chennai, 10 plus screens are set to screen this comic caper. 

This movie stars Allari Naresh, who is known for his comedy timing, and Monal Gajjar in lead roles. Bhimaneni Srinivasa Rao directs. They have evidently spoofed more than 100 films made in the last two decades and audiences can expect a complete mad-cap entertainer.

Shankar says no partying to amy

When it comes to Shankar’s movies, the director expects his actors to give their best for it. And in a recent incident, the ace director has proved it again.

The Brit beauty Amy Jackson is playing the female lead in ‘I’, opposite Vikram. The actress, being a social person, had attended a party during a night and appeared for the shoot a bit tired in the morning. Shankar, watching her not delivering her best, requested her to party less, as it was affecting the overall output of the film. The director, who expects his actors to keep their looks secretive till the release of the film, has also asked her to keep her public appearances in check. And Amy has also agreed to abide by Shankar's instructions.

Anushka struggles.selvaraghavan bids adieu

Selvaraghavan and his Irandam Ulagam team involving Arya and Anushka had been shooting in exotic locations of Georgia for more than 40 days. The team has been shooting under very difficult conditions for this ambitious film of Selva.

Being a very big star in the south Indian film industry, the team says Anushka never complained about the inconveniences she was put through for such a long period. Though the tough conditions were mainly due to the locations they were shooting in, the pretty actress never failed to adapt to it, even if it involved staying in a common dormitory.

Highly pleased by the co-operation the actress gave for the shoot, director Selvaraghavan threw a farewell party for her. The actress is now back in Chennai and has joined the Alex Pandian team

Tamannah's film sets a new record

Tamannah is all set to make a splash across Bollywood with Himmatwala opposite Ajay Devgn. UTV Motion Pictures are behind this project which is a remake of the 80s film with the same name. The colorful posters have already made a mark and have positioned Tamannah as a glam queen. Sajid Khan directs this one. 

This movie achieved a first in the Indian film industry when the mahurat shot (first shot) of this movie was streamed live on YouTube. This shot happened on the 23rd of August in Ramoji Studios Hyderabad, and all the fans of the movie also got to experience this shot thanks to this digital initiative by the team.

Ajay Devgn, Zareena Wahab, Mahesh Manjrekar and Leena Jumani were involved in this first shot. More innovations can be expected in the digital space as movie marketing goes to the next level of audience engagement.

500 plus for mugamoodi

Mugamoodi is fast nearing release and theaters all over the South are giving good booking response to this Jiiva starrer. As of now 450 to 500 screen worldwide would be screening the Tamil version alone, with more bookings expected in the coming week. Added to this, the Telugu version, Mask, would also get a sizable release in Andhra. 

Another info about Mugamoodi is its running time of 155 minutes. The first half would run for 85 minutes while the second would last for 70 minutes. As the release date nears, the buzz is apparently increasing for this superhero flick.

Trisha has been busy with a number of projects like Endrendrum Punnagai, Samar and Boologam. She got a small break from these shoots and spent some good relaxing times with her family and friends. She also got her taste of the latest movies and music doing the rounds.

Her favorite new song is none other than 'Vaayamoodi Summa Iruda', her Endrendrum Punnagai co-star Jiiva's latest chartbuster from Mugamoodi. This song has been on top of every chart in town ever since its release and Trisha is another addition to a long last of admirers. Madhan Karky has written the lyrics for this number scored by K.

srikanth is nambiar

Srikanth, who is awaiting the release of his romantic-comedy, Paagan directed by Mohammad Aslam, has signed his next film Nambiar which will be directed by newbie SGanes h, who has worked with directors like Vikraman, SS Rajamouli and R Kannan. Santhanam will also be playing a crucial role in the film.

Sathya, who mesmerized the audience with his tunes in Engeyum Eppodhum, will compose for this film. MS Prabhu will crank the camera and Attakathi fame Leo John Paul will be before the editing desk. The director is on a hunt for a top heroine. A formal announcement about the rest of the cast can also be expected very soon.

Mani sir is almost done with kadal

Mani Ratnam is on the verge of wrapping up his upcoming romantic film, Kadal starring Gautham Karthik and Thulasi Nair in the lead. If the reports are to be believed the director will complete the shoot in another week or less.

It has taken the director just 70 and odd days to complete the shoot for the film. The team has shot the film in the coastal areas of Manapad, Andaman and Kerala. We also hear that the director is very happy with the performances of the two newcomers, Gautham and Thulasi.

The film also stars Arjun, Arvind Swamy, Lakshmi Manchu, Ponvannan, Pasupathy and Thambi Ramaiah in character roles. AR Rahman has already completed the songs for the film and under the cinematography of Rajiv Menon and editing of Sreekar Prasad the film is shaping up at a drastic pace.

Rahman says no

There were rumors doing the rounds that the Mozart of Madras, A.R.Rahman would be making a cameo appearance in a Malayalam flick to be directed by Shajoon Kariyal. This film is apparently about five friends with one of them (Biju Menon) working in Rahman's orchestra. This lent credence to rumors that Rahman would accede to this cameo.But such rumors have been denied by the legend himself. Sources say that he has denied being part of any film as an actor. It seems he has also refused to grant the permission to make a movie based on him or members of his orchestra.
