high court gives directive to 3 producers

In a landmark case, the producers of Dhanush - Shruti Haasan starrer 3 took action against websites that were providing links to pirated content from their film. Following a court ruling on March 29th, many websites with video sharing options were blocked for allowing public access to pirated content.On Friday, the Madras High Court issued a directive to the producers of 3 telling them that an entire website need not be shut down and only the objectionable content has to be blocked. The court has asked the makers to provide a list containing links of the pirated versions and specific URLs to ISPs (Internet Service Providers) so that they may be blocked by the websites.
